Verity & Geoff | Toronto Ontario Farm Wedding
Verity and Geoff’s wedding was just amazing. They held their nuptials at their family estate, which was surrounded by nature and beauty. It was such a pleasure capturing this lovely wedding. I asked them what they loved most about their wedding, and how it made them feel being a part of such a monumental day.
V : ” Geoff is an amazing partner, we planned the wedding together. We were equally involved in pretty much every detail so the wedding really felt like it reflected both of us and the efforts that we put in jointly. We decided to do a first look, I was so happy to see him before the ceremony. When I looked at the preview pictures it brought back the feelings of happiness, excitement and relief of wedding day anxieties just to be in his arms. We always have a lot of fun together…whether it’s doing the regular day-to-day stuff or if it’s an exciting event…we always will have fun together. I just love him so much! “
What I loved about our wedding
The relaxed morning of getting ready at the farm with friends and family followed by the anticipation of Geoff arriving to do photos before the ceremony. I loved that we had a few minutes to ourselves before everyone arrived.
Having the ceremony outside at the farm despite that the weather seemed like it wasn’t going to work out.
All the hard work that family and friends put in to getting the ceremony site ready with beautiful flowers and décor.
The wedding arch that was built by Geoff and Rupert (my brother) out of reclaimed wood and the old shutters from the farm house.
Sharing the vows that we wrote, and having our moms sign the register.
Seeing all of our friends and family together to celebrate our relationship. It’s touching that people traveled so far to be there with us (including my friend Jess who booked a last minute flight from Chile and surprised us by showing up!)
Touching and funny speeches by our siblings and our parents.
We got lots of support from our family and friends, we really felt the love on our wedding day.
And to top it off…super fun party with amazing live band!
What details made the wedding unique?
V: “Having our ceremony at the farm made is feel really special. We had a classic car parked near the ceremony location, that car later chauffeured us to our reception. I also loved the vintage wagon we had on the grounds.”
