Groom Spinning Bride at Captiol Theatre

Beautiful St. Clair Centre for the Arts Wedding & Capitol Theatre Ceremony

This unique Capitol Theatre wedding and St. Clair Centre for the Arts Wedding Reception was one of my favourites of 2020. So many candid moments centred around friends, family and love. Sarah & Tyler wanted to have fun on their wedding day, so that’s what we did – we had fun. You might remember them from their engagement session earlier in 2020 which was also heaps of fun.

Getting Ready and First Look

S & T got ready in a hotel downtown Windsor with their respective wedding party members. We had a blast capturing all the moments! Sarah wore a beautiful Sophia Tolli Gown (just stunning with a removable skirt), and Tyler wore an Indochino suit (I love when grooms choose Indochino – such great suits!) They decided to do a first look in an empty room inside the hotel. Just a little light poured in – enough for us to capture these tender moments. I always love when couples decide to do a first look – it gives you that extra nugget of time to yourselves as a couple on your wedding day. It also allows for some cute portraits together.

Ceremony

Tyler is a theatre buff, so naturally these two decided to hold their ceremony inside the stunning Capitol Theatre in downtown Windsor. This building is full of so much character, and allowed to create some very dynamic imagery full of mood and love.

The Reception

St. Clair Centre for the Arts is a beautiful space to hold a wedding reception. They have 3 rooms that can accommodate large guest lists! Plus the views of the Detroit skyline are incredible. They also had a huge spread of cookies and desserts styled to the nines for all their guests to enjoy into the evening.

I seriously had the best time ever at this wedding, and I count my lucky stars that this is my job and I get to preserve authentic and candid memories for my clients through my photos. Hope y’all enjoy these images! XOCJ
